periodicity (s-block. D block f block and noble gases). Brief introduction to transition
metal chemistry (1^st row). Nuclear chemistry, basic principles of
organic chemistry.

1. Qualitative and quantitative organic elemental analysis. (C. H,N,S halogen; and other)
2. Determination of molecular formula
3. Functional group chemistry and synthesis of organic substances such as hydrocarbon, alcohols, aldehydes and ketones. Amines carboxylic acid and ti derivatives
4. Polymers in everyday use
5. Carbohydrate, lipids and proteins.
